Privacy Policy

We, IMPULSE LTDA, a legal entity governed by private law, registered with the CNPJ/ME under No. 44.126.691/0001-40, headquartered at Rua Dona Laura, 320, Sala 701, Rio Branco, Porto Alegre/RS, CEP 90.430-090 ("Impulse"), value transparency and trust in the relationship with our users ("You" or "User").

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store and share your personal data, and how you can exercise your rights. It applies whenever you access our Platform, use the Impulse Job Board or purchase optional paid products.

We process personal data in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018 – LGPD) and, where applicable to users in other countries, with the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable U.S. state privacy laws.

1. Who are we?

  1. 1.1) Impulse operates the Impulse Job Board, a free board of remote job listings from third-party sources, curated by our team, and offers optional paid products, such as mentoring.
  2. 1.2) Impulse acts as Controller of your Personal Data, determining the purposes and means of processing.

2. What personal data do we process?

  1. 2.1) Registration data: full name, country and, where required for invoicing in Brazil, CPF.
  2. 2.2) Contact details: e-mail and phone number.
  3. 2.3) Profile information you provide in our forms, such as availability, experience and work preferences.
  4. 2.4) Payment data, only if you purchase an optional paid product: payment method information and transaction records, processed by our payment providers.
  5. 2.5) Technical data: IP address, device type, operating system, browser, cookies, device ID and interactions with the Platform.
  6. 2.6) Sensitive data: Impulse does not collect sensitive personal data, such as racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, political opinions, trade union membership, or information about health or sex life.
  7. 2.7) Minors: the Platform is intended only for people over 18. Impulse does not knowingly process personal data of minors and will delete any such data it identifies.

3. How do we use your personal data?

  1. 3.1) To provide the service: create your account, give you free access to the job board and, if you purchase an optional paid product, provide access to it and process the payment.
  2. 3.2) To personalize the job board: show listings that match the profile information you provided.
  3. 3.3) To communicate with you: send information about your account and the service and, with your consent, information about optional paid products and events. You can opt out of commercial communications at any time.
  4. 3.4) To prevent fraud and protect the security of Users and the Platform.
  5. 3.5) To improve the Platform: carry out internal analyses and solve technical or security problems.
  6. 3.6) To comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including invoicing and requests from competent authorities.
  7. 3.7) To exercise our rights in judicial, administrative or arbitration proceedings, when necessary.

4. Who do we share your personal data with?

  1. 4.1) Companies in our economic group, when necessary to operate the Platform or comply with legal obligations, and in the event of corporate operations such as mergers or acquisitions.
  2. 4.2) Service providers contracted to support the Platform, such as IT, cloud hosting, e-mail delivery, customer service and payment providers. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only for the purposes defined by Impulse.
  3. 4.3) Public authorities, to comply with legal obligations or court orders, or to protect our rights.
  4. 4.4) Legal advisors, when necessary for the defense of Impulse's rights.
  5. 4.5) Impulse does not sell or rent your personal data and does not share it with employers or third parties for their own marketing purposes.
  6. 4.6) International transfers: your data may be processed outside your country of residence. In these cases, we adopt the safeguards required by applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses.

5. Cookies

  1. 5.1) Cookies are small text files that help us operate the Platform, remember your preferences, understand how the Platform is used and measure the effectiveness of our advertising.
  2. 5.2) We use necessary, performance, functional and advertising cookies, including third-party cookies related to advertising and analytics.
  3. 5.3) Where required by law, such as for users in the EU and UK, non-essential cookies are only used with your consent.
  4. 5.4) You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if necessary cookies are disabled.

6. How do we protect your personal data?

  1. 6.1) Information sent through the Platform is transmitted using encrypted protocols, such as HTTPS, and stored in protected environments with access restricted to authorized personnel and service providers.
  2. 6.2) We only send commercial communications to Users who have consented to receive them.

7. How long do we store your personal data?

  1. 7.1) We keep your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, or for longer when required by law, for the exercise of rights or for auditing purposes.
  2. 7.2) After that period, data is deleted securely or anonymized for statistical purposes.

8. Your rights

  1. 8.1) You may request confirmation that your data is being processed, access to your data, correction of incomplete or outdated data, deletion, anonymization or blocking of unnecessary data, data portability, information about sharing, withdrawal of consent and review of automated decisions.
  2. 8.2) Users in the EU and UK may also object to processing and lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority. Users in U.S. states with privacy laws may exercise the rights granted by those laws.
  3. 8.3) To exercise your rights, write to [email protected] with your full name, registered e-mail and the request. We will respond within 15 days, or within the period required by the law applicable to you.
  4. 8.4) In some cases we may need to keep certain data to comply with legal obligations or court orders, even after a deletion request.

9. Links to third-party websites

  1. 9.1) The job board contains links to third-party websites where listings are published. These websites have their own privacy policies, and Impulse is not responsible for how they process your data. We recommend reading their policies before applying.
